How To Be Saved

This is the most important question of your life. 

Are you saved?

It has nothing to do with how good you are. It has nothing to do with you being a church member or church worker. If you died today, are you sure you would go to heaven? 

  

You can be saved today. The Bible gives us God’s simple plan on how to be saved.

 

First, you must realize and admit that you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

And because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23  This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.

But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” 2 Corinthians 5:21

 “ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8

You must confess your sins and repent, that is turning your back and changing your ways. “God . . . commandeth all men everywhere to repent” Acts 17:30

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’ 1John1:9

Ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior. Believe in Him. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:9-10.

…what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts:16-30-31

 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

If you are ready to make a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ, all you have to do is reach out to Him now in prayer. He is listening and waiting to come into your heart. He wants to help you live a better life. Will you invite Him in now? If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can use this prayer as a guide:

Father, I know that I have broken Your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I confess my sins before You this day and ask that You forgive me. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, shed His blood for my salvation, was resurrected from the dead and is alive. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Thank You Lord, for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

By praying this prayer, confessing your sins, and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance:

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” John 1:12

Now you know that if you died today, you are sure to go to Heaven and be with the Lord for all of eternity!

Find a Bible-believing Church, talk to God in prayer and read your Bible every day. Knowing how the Lord has saved you, help others out of the path of destruction and death also, by sharing with them, your new found faith in Christ Jesus.
